David Cavanagh

David Cavanagh brings three decades of professional engineering experience, from international locations spanning six continents and more than 90 hydrogen and renewables projects over the past decade, to the Board of Good Water Energy.
David is the head of Western Australia’s Chapter of the Hydrogen Society of Australia and one of the world’s leading experts on hydrogen, Sustainable Aviation Fuel and other bio and eFuel production feasibility and engineering. David’s expertise includes multidisciplinary project scoping and delivery for leading energy and resource companies from project feasibility through design, construction, commissioning and operations. This includes creating a hydrogen upstream, midstream and transportation ecosystem, a green hydrogen market, developing a geothermal energy to sustainable fuel supply chain, designing a hydrogen valley in WA, a hydrogen hub in Queensland, and exporting green hydrogen technology.
David is a recognised expert in hydrogen for transport, contributing to national and international standards for hydrogen mobility, supporting Australia at UN conferences, as a UN Expert Committee member, and trainer for the World Trade Organisation in Geneva.
